The short version

Your route never leaves the phone. Bobco has no account, no server and no sync, so there is nowhere for your driving data to be sent.

What stays on your device

Every route, trip metric, score and chart is written to local storage on your iPhone and read back from there. That includes:

Deleting a trip from the history removes it along with its contribution to your statistics. Deleting the app removes everything, because there is no copy anywhere else.

Location

Bobco needs location access to record a trip. The tracker runs in the background while you drive so that trips log themselves without you pressing anything. Location is used to draw the route, measure speed and distance, and detect events such as harsh braking or idling — all of it on the device.

The one network request

The only thing Bobco sends off the phone is a reverse-geocoding request to Apple, which turns the coordinates of your start point, end point and stops into street names. Nothing else about your trips is transmitted.

Subscription

Bobco is free to use. A subscription unlocks your full trip history; recent trips stay visible without one. Payment is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store — the app never sees or stores your payment details. You can cancel at any time in your App Store settings.

Children

Bobco is a tool for drivers and is not directed at children.
